i asked her for confetti cannons and she gave them to me pretty willingly when i told her why i needed them.
so i think if we ask and just say "a picnic" then that should work just fine.

( thing is, clarke absolutely believes in second chances. the pit of self loathing she's dug for herself would be twice as deep if she didn't continually offer herself that ladder. but, in others? because she's a huge hypocrite, it has to be earned.

but if mizuki can move on, so can clarke. conversationally at least, she's still scowling and grinding her teeth. )

You're probably right. But it still never feels like we can relax on this ship.

( we? the royal we? what clarke means is i can't relax here but she likes to build community through syntax and projecting/lumping everyone in with her own emotions. one layer beneath: she can't harp on jinx for chasing romance one second and not quietly judge mizuki for doing the same in the very next, yanno? )
