I see, not an unfamiliar concept. Auldrant had such substances for pipe smoking as well, if not necessarily with the exact same name. I suppose some things just don't really change even between realities, where the habits of human beings might be concerned...
['Steve Harrington' is an unfamiliar name, but now it's going to be attached to "that one person who hosted a marijuana party in Tauva apparently" evermore in Jade's mental dossier, so that's going to be a very fun and not at all awkward first impression to enter a conversation with if they ever do meet...! Not so terrible as psychoactives go, by the sound of it; you certainly seemed in quite fair spirits last night! [Hmm, should they get into this, really? ...Oh, may as well. Of course, her answer does beg the very curious question as to who else she'd assailed with strange questions and earnest words last night, but Clarke doesn't seem willing to elaborate further...which is just fine. That's the sort of thing that might come out in the wash of its own volition farther down the line, isn't it? No, for now...]
Well, back home I did have a couple of spare pairs, but most unfortunately I didn't exactly tend to carry them around on my person. It's not the kind of fontech I could replicate here without the proper tools, either...but it's alright! Your concern is heartwarming, but mostly unfounded 😊 I can apply suppressive glyphs by hand as well if needed, at least on a temporary basis. They're just quite a hassle to need reapplying every other hour, as opposed to them being embedded in a pair of glasses...
Rather surprisingly forward second question there, though! Hmmm, the answer depends on what sorts of things you'd put in that category, doesn't it? Are you worried about whether there are any other parts of me that might be prone to explosion?

The scarring from the incident still persists today. But he'd have to take off his innermost shirt for them to be visible. So, few know about those--or about that incident, either. He doesn't talk about it much.
And, most unfortunately for Clarke, he's not about to talk about it now either. For all that it probably does fall under some form of answer to "what else have you done to yourself in the name of science"--]

That said. You're aware, I imagine, of how the things we receive from sundries are more products of random chance than anything else. I rather doubt direct requests could be made of Friday along those lines, really...but still, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check in with her, at some point down the line. Whether it's keeping a metaphorical eye for the glasses or the tools. [...But the most ironic part of this tangent, admittedly, is the fact that Jade actually does have one other option where procuring more of his glasses might be concerned. Fomicry remains a viable option, after all, provided that the glyphs are properly carried over...
But that would entail talking about fomicry even vaguely--and would also entail getting into the rather less practical reasons that Jade hasn't created several pairs in this fashion already. ...So, it's another thing that goes unsaid. Though there might just be the very, vaguest twinge of guilt on that front about now, considering...]
You know, your concern truly is quite touching! A rather far cry from the time you punched me in the face and didn't feel an ounce of regret about it afterwards, now isn't this?

but, counter side of the argument, clarke can't help but think jade could do a little less shutting up about the other specifics here. i've applied no others that carry quite such a risk... isn't the same as i've applied no others, and that had been the question she asked. but he's got an absolutely stellar ace up his sleeve, which is accusing her of having a heart. very offensive to be called out like this (even if aforementioned heart, yeah, she's gotta reckon that it's true and he's included). )
